What is Sophrology?
Sophrology is a simple yet powerful mind–body practice that helps you release tension, restore balance, and build emotional and physical resilience.
Through short, structured exercises that blend breathing, gentle movement, and focused awareness, it supports you in calming the mind, easing physical and emotional strain, and regulating your nervous system.
Whether you need a quick reset in a stressful moment or a long‑term approach to wellbeing, Sophrology offers practical tools that fit easily into daily life. It can sharpen attention, strengthen emotional resilience, and support meaningful personal transformation - all in a way that’s accessible, adaptable, and suitable for every age and stage.


How it works
Sessions combine gentle breathing, mindful movement, and positive visualisation to help you reconnect with your inner calm. Each session is structured yet flexible, meeting you where you are and guiding you forward.


What Happens in a Session
Your First Session
Your first session begins with a relaxed conversation to understand what’s bringing you here - stress, sleep, confidence, clarity, or something else entirely. There’s nothing to prepare and nothing to perform. You simply come as you are.
The first session typically lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes, giving us time to explore your needs and introduce the foundations of Sophrology.
From there, the session is tailored to you. We begin with a gentle check‑in, then move through guided practices that may include:
Breathwork to anchor, calm, or energise
Gentle movement to release tension and reconnect with your body
Visualisation to build clarity, confidence, and emotional balance
Relaxation to restore ease and support nervous system regulation
You’ll leave with practical tools you can use anytime - at your desk, in the car, before sleep, or during a difficult moment.
How many Session should I commit to?
This is one of the most common questions - and the honest answer is: it depends.
Your journey with Sophrology is personal. If you’ve been living with stress or overwhelm for a long time, it may take a little longer to unwind and rebuild. If your symptoms are more recent, you may notice shifts more quickly.
Each session builds on the last, shaped around your pace, your goals, and what’s happening in your life. Most clients feel a benefit from the very first session. Many choose to begin with 4–6 weekly sessions, which allows time to build momentum and integrate the tools. After that, we reassess together - based on how you’re feeling and what you want to achieve.
Some clients return for a refresher session months later; others continue with longer‑term support depending on their goals.
There’s no pressure and no fixed programme - just a supportive, structured space to explore, grow, and feel more in control.
Between sessions, you’ll be encouraged to practise short exercises. Just a few minutes a day can make a meaningful difference, helping you integrate the tools and create lasting change.
What you don't need...
You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or experienced.
You don’t need to sit still for long periods or “empty your mind.”
You don’t need to share anything you’re not ready to.
You don’t need to get it right.

Is Sophrology Right for me?
Sophrology is suitable for most people and can be adapted for all ages and abilities. It’s especially supportive if you’re navigating stress, overwhelm, low confidence, busy thinking, or emotional intensity.
Your wellbeing is always at the heart of my work. I will be open and honest with you from the very beginning. If I ever feel that Sophrology isn’t the right approach for your needs, I will tell you clearly, refund any investment you’ve made for sessions not yet had, and signpost you to a more suitable practitioner or service.
You will never be encouraged to continue sessions that aren’t serving you. My role is to support you - not to keep you in a process that doesn’t feel aligned.
