These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of SophroFocus's website, located at https://sophrofocus.co.uk, and for the purchase of and participation in any courses, programmes or services offered by SophroFocus.
By accessing this website or purchasing any course or programme, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use SophroFocus if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

The website uses cookies to help personalise your online experience. By accessing SophroFocus, you agree to the use of required cookies.
A cookie is a text file placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie.
We may use cookies to collect, store, and track information for statistical or marketing purposes. You have the ability to accept or decline optional cookies. Some cookies are necessary for the operation of our website and do not require your consent.
2. Intellectual Property and Licence
Unless otherwise stated, SophroFocus and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on this website and in all courses, programmes, recordings and associated materials. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
You may access materials from SophroFocus for your own personal use, subject to the restrictions set in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
Copy, republish, reproduce, duplicate or redistribute any material from SophroFocus
Sell, rent or sub-license any material from SophroFocus
Use any course material, recordings or content for commercial purposes without prior written consent
Share, download or distribute course recordings or materials to third parties
3. Online Courses — Live Cohort
The following terms apply to all live online courses and programmes offered by SophroFocus:
3.1 Booking — Your place is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3.2 Access — You will receive registration details for the SophroStudio app within 24 hours of payment. Your access begins from the date of registration for the period specified at the time of purchase.
3.3 Live sessions — Live sessions are delivered online via video conferencing. Joining instructions will be shared ahead of each session. Sessions are not transferable between time slots without prior agreement from SophroFocus.
3.4 Cohort size — Live cohort sessions are limited to a maximum number of participants per time slot as stated at the time of purchase, to ensure a quality experience for all.
3.5 Recordings — Session recordings are made available through the SophroStudio app for the duration of your access period. Recordings are for personal use only and must not be shared, downloaded or redistributed.
3.6 Missed sessions — If you miss a live session the recording will be made available through the SophroStudio app.
3.7 Session changes — Whilst every effort will be made to deliver sessions as scheduled, SophroFocus reserves the right to reschedule sessions in exceptional circumstances. Participants will be given as much notice as possible.
3.8 Participant conduct — SophroFocus reserves the right to remove any participant from the programme without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive or harmful to other participants or to the practitioner.
4. Online Courses — Self-paced
The following terms apply to all self-paced online courses and programmes offered by SophroFocus:
4.1 Booking — Your place is confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
4.2 Access — You will receive registration details for the SophroStudio app within 24 hours of payment. Your access begins from the date of registration for the period specified at the time of purchase.
4.3 Recordings and materials — All recordings and course materials are made available through the SophroStudio app for the duration of your access period. They are for personal use only and must not be shared, downloaded or redistributed.
4.4 Bonus materials — Any bonus recordings or materials stated at the time of purchase will be released during the programme as specified.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
5.1 Due to the digital nature of SophroFocus programmes, refunds are not available once you have accessed the SophroStudio app or any course materials.
5.2 If you have not yet accessed any materials, please contact sarah@sophrofocus.co.uk within 14 days of purchase to discuss your options.
5.3 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
6. Health and Wellbeing Disclaimer
Sophrology is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. SophroFocus does not diagnose, treat or cure any medical or psychological condition. If you have any health concerns, please consult your GP or a qualified healthcare professional before joining any programme.
7. Comments and User Content
Parts of this website may offer users an opportunity to post and exchange opinions and information. SophroFocus does not filter, edit, publish or review comments before their appearance on the website. Comments reflect the views and opinions of the person who posts them and do not reflect the views of SophroFocus.
SophroFocus reserves the right to monitor and remove any comments considered inappropriate, offensive or in breach of these terms.
8. Hyperlinking
The following organisations may link to our website without prior written approval: government agencies, search engines, news organisations, and online directory distributors.
No use of SophroFocus's logo or other artwork will be allowed for linking without a trademark licence agreement.
9. Content Liability
We shall not be held responsible for any content that appears on your website. No link should appear on any website that may be interpreted as libelous, obscene or criminal, or which infringes or violates any third party rights.
10. Reservation of Rights
We reserve the right to request removal of any links to our website and to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to our website and the use of this website. Nothing in this disclaimer will:
Limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence
Limit or exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Limit any liabilities in any way not permitted under applicable law
Exclude any liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
